The week of August 28th the Department of Public Services Neighborhood Operations Division will be in Mt. Washington for the Neighborhood Blitz Clean up. Below is an overview of the blitz clean up.

Monday, August 28th – September 1st 

Greenspace Crew
Will mow, trim & edge all DPS owned properties during the week.

One (20yd.) dumpster has been delivered to the rear parking lot at the Rec Center, 1715 Beacon St. It will be removed on Friday, September 1st by 10:00am. If dumpsters become full before Friday, staff will empty and bring it back.

The following items are “NOT” permitted in the dumpster:
Tires (stack outside dumpster)
Hazardous Waste Materials
Helium Tanks
Propane Tanks
Liquids of any kind
Gas Cans
Appliances w/Freon

Street Sweeping
Street Sweeping will be done in accordance to the new 2017 Street Sweeping schedule.

Friday, September 1st
Roving Trash Truck 
There will be a roving trash truck circulating through Mt. Washington servicing all corner cans and collecting excessive trash and illegal dumped items.

Litter Picking
Staff will be on foot litter picking main thoroughfares and heavily littered areas.

Private Lot Abatement Program (PLAP)
Staff will abate privately owned properties that have been cited for litter, high grass and overgrown brush violations.
